Clash for the Cure II

Were you fortunate to make it out to the first Clash for the Cure battle, when Freeland took on Chesaning, wearing pink socks and pink jerseys? The varsity football team helped make a pink night truly memorable - for everyone involved. From the sea of pink t-shirts in the crowd to the pink socks of the referees to the pink cement mixer at the festival before the game, everyone had a great time. And let's not forget the $15,000 that was raised and donated to the fight against breast cancer.

Local business and community organizations had tables selling everything from pink pom pons to pink hairspray. There was a DJ, lots of baked goods, jumping toys, games to do and lots of other fun things for the kids. This year will be even bigger and better! Lots of raffles, contests and prizes to win. All monies from raffles, prizes and items for sale went back to the school and the football team to donate for their cause - breast cancer research.

This year's Clash for the Cure will see Freeland take on Hemlock on September 9th, 7:00 pm. T-shirts are $10 and available in the entry of Pat's Food Store on certain nights and on Wednesdays during the concert in the park. Proceeds go to the fight against breast cancer. Get your shirts now and prepare to cheer on Freeland as they get all decked out in pink on the football field.
